August 2023 Modeling of In-Cabinet Fire Damage in Fire PRA Applications Provides guidance on modeling partial fire damage within a cabinet for Group 4 (of NUREG-2178 Vol. 1) electrical cabinet multi-function control cabinets. This method is not applicable to switchgear, load centers, motor control centers, inverters, or battery chargers. This approach is used to sub-divide fire scenarios that would only damage a single cabinet. This approach establishes a frequency modifier to predict the likelihood that a fire will result in partial loss of cabinet functions with diverse power supplies as well as the likelihood all functions will be lost.
